Nicola bought a sample dress with a view to having it dramatically altered into her dream dress. This is the dress as purchased.

Clem managed to source exactly the same lace as was used on the original bodice, to make lace sleeves and a lace skirt overlay. With a wide satin sash, the dress looked completely different. "Thank you so much for all your hard work and creativity. I am absolutely delighted with the final product. It's even more beautiful and 'me' than I had imagined!"

Emma's wedding dress. Emma's dress was made from her mother’s wedding gown.
"It was beautiful to be able to get married in my Mum's dress; she has 47 years of happy marriage behind her and still counting. It felt like I was marrying with her happiness as well as mine! Thank you so much for helping make that possible, and (re)making a dress that was gorgeous to wear, that suited me and fitted wonderfully, I felt like a princess. Everyone said how beautiful the dress was, and it was amazing how many relatives recognised it as the same dress, despite looking ever so different! Mum said it was so nice seeing me in it, it reminded her of her own wedding day."

Leonie decided to wear her mother’s silk wedding dress, which Clem had made in 1980. It only needed minor alterations to the fit, but was given a new look by replacing the original lilac trim with a green vintage braid.

Julia wanted a very simple dress for her woodland wedding. Her main priority was that the fabric should be ethically sourced. She chose a cotton sateen for the underdress, and cotton voile for the overlay, from www.organiccotton.biz

Delia: "Clem, you certainly made me feel very special, the dress was perfect, exactly how I had visualised it, you brought it to life."
